I don't know why that one reviewer had trouble with this bookstand. It's excellent and works on all sizes and styles of books. You simply adjust the position of the arms based on the size of the book and the balance of the pages. It doesn't take long to figure out. Simply try it on a number of different books when you first buy it, until you get the hang of how it works. It's an ingenious design, really. I've tried other bookstands and this is my favorite. This stand combines the convenience of a light and foldable design that's easy to carry with you, while at the same time being able to handle large books as well as small. I highly recommend it.

Unlike the first review of this product, I have found it to be great to take with me whenever I go out to eat. It folds down easily and fits in my purse. I read both paperbacks and hardbacks using the Easi-Reader and have had few problems with it. The only times it seems to slip is when you are just starting or ending a book and most of the pages are on one side of the holder. I always have people coming up to me at my table asking about the holder and I give it a glowing recommendation. I tell them how to track it down on the internet and have no idea how many I have sold for the company. I have orderded more than 20 myself and have given many of them as Christmas stocking stuffers. I also have given many to people who work at the restaurants I frequent as they have asked about the holder and I have used them as tips sometimes. I'm sorry the other reviewer did not find it to be useful but I really like it and as stated previously find it to be excellent for my purposes.

I've used my EASI-READER for about ten years for all kinds of things from huge graduate school textbooks to technical journals to paperback novels to cookbooks to single sheets of paper from which I am typing. I just put a piece of cardboard or any magazine or a file folder behind the single sheet to hold it upright. I've carried this handy, foldable stand with me on many travels. I plan to buy more EASI-READER's to give to my grandkids to encourage them to read more. I am glad that the product's name is carved into the stand itself, because that's how I was able to locate it on the Internet. I have the black stand; I hope that the chrome one is identical.

I was amazed at how well this works, it fits almost any size book and holds it open nicely.

I saw someone at B&N using this bookstand, I was so impressed I approached them asking where they had gotten it. They forgot where so I went to so many stores looking for it. Surprisingly, the only place I could find it was online, thank goodness for the internet. Highly recommended! I bought 3 because I knew I would love it, whether or not I will utilize them all at once, who cares ... I'm just happy that if I can't find the current one I was using, I have another spare and a spare for my spare. :-]
