Although the tray is plastic the rails are metal and it seems sturdy. The product provides a reasonably firm surface. The installation was easy with a power screwdriver drill bit - there are a lot of wood screws to install as one would expect and sturdiness demands they go in all the way. The mouse tray slides out from beneath the keyboard tray and has a nice fabric pad on it rather than the rubbery stuff that degrades quickly.

This keyboard tray is easy to install and works great with pretty much any computer desk. It's comfortable and slides out rather smoothly. My only complaint is the size of the keyboard compartment, i.e. I had to remove the plastic comfort "pad" that comes with my Logitech keyboard to fit it in this tray. Not a problem though since the comfort pad that comes with this tray is actually far better than the plastic one that Logitech provides.

I was nervous about purchasing a used item on Amazon. But the price was right so we tried it out. The keyboard drawer came earlier than expected in perfect condition with all the parts in the box and it is the perfect solution for us. It is simple to install, comfortable to use and looks good too.

Easy to install. Durable. Versatile: The spacing of drawer to desk top is adjustable, the mouse pad shelf can be mounted on the left or right side of keyboard(I am left handed), an optional wrist rest is included, and there is plenty of room for even a large keyboard.
The very reasonable price at Amazon makes this an unbeatable value!

Excellent keyboard for the money paid! I love the soft keyboard pad!-Pretty sturdy. Only complaint is that, they should have put a back to prevent my stuff from falling out from behind!
