Easy assemble, good looking and stable desk August 15, 2009 T. Chan (CA, USA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I purchase the silver version of this glass desk and it come with perfect conditions and tools for assembling. It only takes me 20 minutes to put the whole thing up. All the screws and parts fit perfectly and they also provide extras if you lose some which is great. I do not have much expectation from the reviews but to my surprise, this tempered glass desk is actually quite beautiful, airy, sleek and modern witn this inexpensive price. It is very easy to move around and not chunky. It is also quite sturdy and do not wobble. The glass slide out is quite nice for keyboard or storage. As with any glass desk, you do not want to clutter and put too many heavy stuff on top of it and need to exercise a little more care. This is common sense.
I have a small study and instead of putting it against the wall corner, it fits perfectly next to the window in the middle of the room and facing the door. I don't like having my desk facing the wall and don't know who is coming behind me. The L shape provide plenty of desk space for my laptop and writing area. The clear tempered glass desk does not make my study feel small or take up too much space even when it is placed in the middle of the room. I am happy with the purchase and would recommend this product for anyone with a small study.
Solid and Easy to Assemble April 4, 2010 V. Webb (Holland, OH USA) This desk took about 30 minutes to get set up, with all the parts in excellent condition. This desk provided me with the necessary space for my studio setup, along with the efficiency to switch between machines with it's L-shaped design. I highly recommend this desk!
Beautiful Desk July 23, 2010 Amazon devotee (New Jersey) Great desk for the money! Took longer than expected to assemble, mostly because the screws were not a perfect fit at times--some fiddling was required. But overall, nice design and excellent price.
Versatile June 7, 2010 Amy Gonzalez While it took me much longer than anticipated (directions could be more detailed) to put this item together, it has been just wanted we wanted. It was purchased to give my daughter somewhere to do her hair and face separate from the bathroom , we only have one. The glass makes it blend well with the room and not intrusive. Overall very pleased with the purchase, timing was good to as we see the price has gone up since our purchase.
Great for the price June 25, 2010 Kelly Clime (Iowa, USA) Moving into an apartment after college and starting grad school, I needed a desk that allowed me to have my iMac/keyboard/mouse all accessible while also having a textbook and notebook open, and this desk definitely provides enough space for that. As to it being too short for adults, I'm a 5'6 female and find it a very comfortable height with my adjustable office chair - there's probably 4" between my knees and the keyboard tray. So enough work space? Check. Enough leg-room? Check.
Okay, so this thing was kinda a bear to put together, but definitely doable. I did it all by myself in about an hour - and that was including having to undo a couple of pieces that I put on upside down or backwards. FYI, the corner piece goes with the suction cup brackets on the top, not the bottom, and double check that the thicker piece of the legs is running front to back from top to bottom, otherwise you'll end up with the cross support on your shins!
My ONLY complaint with the desk (besides the instructions being a little vague as to directionality of pieces) is that when I went to assemble the keyboard tray, the glass would not fit into the frame. It was about a millimeter or so off, just enough that the glass wouldn't sit down in the frame. I finally got out the hammer and banged the insides of the frame down a bit on either side and the glass popped right in.
Overall a very good desk, and for the price with free shipping, you really can't beat it if you're looking for a desk with lots of work space on a budget.
P.S. Asthetically, the silver and glass combination looks wonderfully sleek with an aluminum iMac or MacBook.... :-)
