Extremely sturdy stand! April 25, 2009 alemon 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
First of all. This is an extremely sturdy stand. I have it holding a 24" Widescreen LCD on the left and a 21" LCD on the right. It could fit two 24" but it would be kinda tight (limited arm movement).
Bought from OutletPC. Arrived on the 5th day. Very sturdy packing. Internal packing excellent.
Great instructions for assembly. There are only 3 parts to the stand. The clamp is heavy duty and extremely sturdy. For the price this can't be beat. Uncluttered my desktop and gives so much extra desk space.
This is a very good buy February 26, 2009 Tulsultant (Tulsa, OK) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
As others have stated, it made little sense to spend more on a monitor stand than on the monitor itself. I shopped for value and mechanical integrity; and I got it with this dual desk stand. I have two-22" LCD's mounted on it. It assembled easily and I mounted the monitors all within about half-hour. It is well built and very sturdy. The primary requirement was a desk or table clamp so I wouldn't have to drill and screw the mount permanently.
My intention was to angle larger monitors such that they would touch at the middle, like a lazy-V, so that both active screens would face me directly. My chief concern was that I had to mount this on a desk that abuts against a wall. This particular assembly does not use 'sliding' back-bars to adjust and compensate for varying widths of a given monitor. Instead, it's adjustable Double-Link Swing Arm can be adjusted for a lazy-V or side-by-side flat & straight screen configuration. In my case, the down-side is that the lazy-V setup causes the Swing Arm to "elbow" itself such that it protrudes beyond the backplane of the desk; thus requiring the desk to be pulled away from the wall an inch or so. This is only a problem for very cramped quarters as I have. While I was researching all other mounts with my particular needs in mind it became apparent that this product has every other feature that was superior for the price to most others even though I had to compromise with space available. This vendor also shipped quickly. I'm completely satisfied with this product.
Better than the best December 29, 2008 Dwight R. Schofield (Fort Myers, FL USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I received this for Christmas and I have to tell you it's the best thing since sliced bread! I have a 22" and 17" monitor which used to stand on my desk allowing absolutely no working room or room for pens, stapler, tape and the many other desk essentials. No longer!
It took about about 15 minutes to entirely recreate my desktop. I should have done this a long time ago. The stand clamps onto the desktop and is itself adjustable, very slick setup. The only tools I needed beside the Allen wrench that was supplied was a screw driver. The pieces were all solid and well finished.
I recommend this highly to anyone wanting their desk back. The only thing that could possibly improve this product would be a 24" post instead of the 18" that comes with the kit. I will check with the manufacturer about this.
Five stars; best of the best!

I was a little nervous because of the price of this product, but upon recipt of the stand it performes above expectations. I have a 22 and 20 inch monitor mounted and thay are both rock solid.
Agreed June 10, 2009 someone (washington) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I agree with the general consensus that this a good product especially considering the price. I just have a couple things to add/elaborate...
Overhang: My setup is with two Samsung LCDs (22.6 and a 21.5) both in landscape orientation. They are in contact with eachother and are in nearly the same plane (eg a very slight 'V' formation facing me). My main point here is that, if you want monitors of this size to be set up touching one another, the arms make it somewhat difficult to do so without moving both LCDs forwards roughly 8". Other reviewers have eluded to this. If minimal desk overhang is a top priority and you don't care if the monitors aren't touching then an arrangement as shown in the product pic should work fine. For me, my desk is quite deep, so this actually worked out the way I wanted it.
Clamp: I was a little concerned about putting all this weight onto an Ikea glass desk (~3/4" thick) via a metal clamp. It actually worked out well. There is a soft feltish surface on the underside of the clamp - the surface that contacts the top of the desk. As for the fasteners, they have a somewhat elastic quality so as to gently apply the pressure. I'm sure there is an actual name for these.
Joints: The main arms are made up of multiple swinging joints as well as rotary joints at the end where the monitors attach. The latter are smooth and easily adjustable if you want a monitor to go from eg landscape to portrait. However, the main arm joints are kind of sticky. This undoubtedly adds the stability of the mount (without being super $$) but the trade-off is that configurations take a little extra effort, or "finessing" as someone else put it.
