I spent a lot of time looking for the perfect desk. I looked in stores and online. I came across this desk on Amazon and based on other customer reviews I decided to buy it. It is absolutely perfect for me! I use this as a reading desk, not for my computer, but it is large and the quality is excellent. I was able to put it together by myself in under 30 minutes. Definitely worth the money!

I have owned this desk for at least a year now and I just love it! I just love the look of the dark walnut wood tone and the sleek style of the desk. It is very sturdy and a good solid design. I don't normally like pull out drawers for the keyboard because they have a tendancy to be lightweight and break easily, but this one... I can lean on the thing and it doesn't even give!! It's just fantastic. The surface of the desk has plenty of room for my monitor, a desk organizer, my mouse pad, a lamp, etc. For a while I even had the printer sitting on it, until I bought the file cabinet that matches the desk so I put the printer on that. The wood cleans up very well, spills just wipe off and a few little scratches here and there just give it that nice well-loved antique look.
I would definitely recommend this desk to anyone, or any part of the Dolce collection for that matter. I have the TV stand, the desk, the cd tower, the coffee table and two end tables of the same collection all in my living room and I just smile every time I look at them. I couldn't imagine having anything else in my living room. It looks like I spent a fortune on the stuff and it really didn't cost me much at all!
You can't get a better price than that for what you're getting!!

I carefully read all reviews before making any purchase on amazon. When I was looking for a relatively inexpensive computer desk, I came across this Dolce Dark Walnut Desk which seemed perfect for my needs. My only reservation was that several reviewers said that it arrived with broken pieces. I had no such problems - the desk arrived in perfect condition. It was extremely easy to assemble and is a nice size. I was actually expecting it to be quite large because several reviewers commented on it being larger than they expected. It's actually perfect for my flat screen monitor, speakers,desk lamp, mousepad, and workspace.
I would agree with past reviewers on the color of the desk being a very dark cherry instead of a dark walnut. I would have preferred a dark walnut, but this desk is nonetheless beautiful, sturdy, and a great buy. It looks much more expensive than it really is. I only wish that they brought back the matching filing cabinet - as I understand it, they have discontinued it. I will be purchasing the matching bookcases soon!

The desk is very easy to assemble, attach the four legs, the draw knob, and your finished. The keyboard tray is already intact. It's a very good deal for the price, and looks far better than the pictures show. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Oh my goodness, this desk is a very beautiful addition to my living room. Turns out I'm doing all of the accessory furniture in this Dolce Dark Walnut. The desk could not have been simpler to put together.Years ago I put together another desk (not part of this set) and it was a major undertaking. With this desk, the desktop complete with the skirt already put together. About all you have to do is screw in the 4 legs and then add the knob to the keyboard drawer. This set is very elegant and well designed, it's made from solid wood and there are no raw edges of pressboard showing any where. I have it sitting in an open area in my living room, and not against the wall so that I can compute and face everyone instead of being secluded in a corner with a view of the wall. Plenty of desk space and furniture polish works great on this. You'll be surprised how easy you can spruce up a room with this. Hey I think it makes a great housewarming gift for the on-the-budget-but-still-have-good-tastes. ^^
